These are some calligraphies that I always remember. Those are first
calligraphy work that I made when I studied at LEMKA Sukabumi West Java 2000. I was 19 years old at that time. Looked so cute just like a millenial
generation.
That was the turning point of my calligraphy bussiness, CV. Assiry Art.
Started from Little Assiry who lived in limitedness. I had to think the way I
fulfilled my daily needs in Pesantren. Lucky me I had such two kind teachers
Ustadz KH. Didin Sirojuddin and Ustadz Bobby Essawal El Iskandar. I only needed
to pay 125.000,- each month because I did Dalail fasting. Alhamdulillah.
Here is my story, armed with little skill about calligraphy which I got
from Ustadz KH. Nur Aufa Shiddiq Kudus (1996-2000), I walked around Sukabumi every
Friday to sell calligraphy or face sketch. I never expected before when I got
my first mosque calligraphy project Rp. 6.650.000,-. I did that project with my
friend, Sofyan. Though that project didn’t give me much money, but that’s
enough to buy calligraphy tools and paid my tuition fee in LEMKA. All praises
be to Allah, the lord of the universe. From 2000 to 2007, I was able to be a good
even calligraphy master. I taught also in LEMKA. I participated in several
national and international competitions and I won. I never say to my santri in
Modern PSKQ that their way to bea great calligrapher will be easy. They have to
be taft and unbreakable person. Never tired to learn and try.
